The Utilities Commission, City of New Smyrna Beach, DBA New Smyrna Beach Utilities is a municipal utility, and as such, is bound by Florida's public records laws (Chapter 119, F.S.) and the Government-in-the-Sunshine Law (Chapter 286, F.S.). With the exception of social security numbers, bank accounts and other exempted information, our records are open for inspection and/or copying by the public. Regular Commission meetings are held on the 4th Monday of each month, at 3 pm in the 3rd floor DeBerry Room at 200 Canal Street. Meeting notices and agendas can be found on this website, as well as in our main office building at 200 Canal Street, New Smyrna Beach. Notices of regular meetings are currently being published in the Volusia edition of the Orlando Sentinel, in the Sunday edition a week prior to the Monday afternoon meetings.
